Nutrition Information from USA Swimming: Nutrition Expert in 60 Minutes
What should I eat after practice?
Why should I warm down? After a race or intense practice lactate acid continues to build in your muscles. We, the coaches, tell you the importance of cooling/warming down all the time, but now you can see through the charts below just how important cooling down is for muscle recovery.
Below is a list of DVD's for our swimmers to watch in the comfort of home. They are all recently done and filled with excellent information. If you would like to borrow one, please email Coach Kaeley. Swimmers will be able to borrow the DVD's for one week at a time.

SONOCO Qualifier entry has been updated to include the 12 and under swimmers. 13 and over swimmers will be swimming at Wesleyan and 12 and under swimmers will be at UCONN. Both session for the qualifier are in the afternoon.

PRACTICE AT EHMS IS CANCELLED ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 2, 2012.
May practice calendar for EHMS has been updated. Starting the week of May 7th there will be dryland practices for 13 and over swimmers practicing at EHMS.
Changes to the HMST Invitational (June 1-3, 2012)
Due to the very heavy response for the qualifier on June 1-3, the following changes were necessary to be made to keep the meet manageable.
1. There are no changes to the Friday session (timeline 3 hrs. 35 min.)
2. There are no changes to the 12/under morning sessions (Sat. 3 hrs. 26 min.; Sun. 3 hrs. 42 min.)
3. The Saturday afternoon session will have a 20 minute warm-up prior to the 400 free. Swimmers entered in the 400 free must supply their own timer and lap counter. (Sat before 400 – 4 hrs. 30 min.; 400 free after warm-up – 2 hrs. 39 min.)
4. There is no change to the Sunday afternoon session but the session is very full and we would greatly appreciate knowing about any scratches prior to the meet date. (5 hrs. 9 min.)

12 and under parents...please check your email! We have been wait listed for the CDOG 12 and under meet and are looking to enter the 12 and unders in the SONOCO Invitational the weekend of June 16-17. Need a response by Monday, April 30th at 6:00 pm.
