The last three words of the YMCA's vision statement are "membership for all." But we discovered recently that many families in our community choose not to participate at our current membership rates. We wanted to find a way to make the YMCA accessible to ALL in order to fulfill that aspect of our vision. The YMCA is very happy to have found a way. Now all individuals will have a place that is accessible where they can exercise and play with a healthier lifestyle in mind. It's with this spirit that the YMCA introduces Membership For All.

What is Membership For All (MFA)

Exactly what it suggests—it is a way to work with families and individuals to ensure that everyone can have access to the YMCA. The program uses a sliding scale rate structure based on gross annual household income that is designed so that all people are able to have access to the YMCA, regardless of income.

Who does the Membership For All/ Income-Based Program seek to serve and how is the rate determined?

The income-based rate scale was designed for gross annual household incomes up to $64,999. The scale is divided into income ranges and membership categories, which include:

Membership Categories: Youth, Adult, Family

 
How do I get started with the YMCA's MFA/Income-Based Program?

The Membership For All program is based solely on you or your family's household income.

New Members must:

• Present a copy of their most recent tax return and two most recent pay stubs. Information provided will determine the income based rate
• Complete the Membership Application

What if I need additional assistance?

If you feel that your situation deems additional assistance, please ask for a YMCA financial assistance application. The application considers your overall situation, including the number of dependents and monthly income. This program takes an extra step to ensure that we are able to make our programs and services accessible to all.
