There is no better place to learn to swim than at the YMCA—often referred to as "America's Favorite Swim Instructor"! These swim lessons teach children valuable life skills, including personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, rescue, and water sports and games. YMCA swim lessons focus on positive values in a fun and caring atmosphere, and these swim lessons teach basic skills progressing through the levels.

If you're not sure which level to place your child in, contact our Aquatics Director, Amanda Robles to schedule a time to meet for a swim test. She can be reached through email or by phone at 860-793-9631 ext. 144.

Group fitness classes are among the most popular exercise programs offered by the YMCA. Whether you're a beginner or a disciplined athlete, we have a wide variety of classes for all levels. Burn calories, sculpt, shape, and increase muscle tone—all in a friendly, social environment.

Healthy Lifestyles and Personal Excellence are common themes among our Personal Trainers. We share a deep sense ofcaring about our clients, are committed to helping them achieve their goals, and have demonstrated the ability to do so. Our personal trainers demonstrate a genuine concern for clients. They
provide 100% of their attention to their clients and use their skill, knowledge, creativity and integrity to design a personalized program for each client. We work with men and women of all ages with varying fitness levels and goals. Whether you want to lose body fat or tone your body, build serious muscle mass, recover from injury or reclaim your health and spunk, we will help you do it. We strive to see results!

Your kids will love our instructional sports programs that introduce them to the fundamentals of sports of all sorts! Parents love that the YMCAs four core values—respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring—are infused into every class so that kids focus on the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition rather than rivalry, right from the start! And every kid plays! These programs encourage team building, individual development, positive self-image, and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.

VACATION CLUBS & SNOW DAYS
Throughout the school year, there are many occasions for schools to close—holidays, snow days, and school breaks. At the YMCA, we realize the importance of providing a safe environment for these elementary-age students during the time that schools are not operating. These are fun-filled days at the YMCA that include art projects, games, and swimming.
